You are invited to a one of a kind celebration of the global fab lab community! Ever wanted to light up your clothes with designers from Barcelona, or build a laser cutter from scratch with Egyptians? How about 3D printing a model of your face or making an insect robot with students from rural India? Have you heard of the Floating Fab Lab for the Amazon river? We’ve got all this and more at the Boston Fab Fest, which is free and open to all ages!

Eleven years and over 500 fab labs later, the International Fab Lab Network is returning to Boston — its birthplace. Fab labs are publicly-accessible workshops with digital fabrication tools like 3D printers and laser cutters that allow you to “make almost anything.” The weekend Fab Fest will connect these local and international innovators, providing hands-on educational and entertaining experiences for everyone.

Fab Fest Boston will be held on August 8th from 10 AM to 4:30 PM and 9th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury Crossing Boston.

If you can spare a couple of hours August 7th – August 9th, you’ll get a front row seat on the festival by volunteering.
