Conference Hotels & Other Accommodations
Please note that Boston is one of the most expensive cities for hotels in the US. Also, hotels sell out in the summer with many tourists visiting on holiday. We advise that you make your reservations early!

Suburban Hotels
Hotels outside the City may be less expensive but you might need a car and parking in Cambridge in particular is difficult and expensive. So there is a trade-off.
Check out the MBTA system maps to find cities on the public transportation system. Also be aware that Fab 11 will have long days and traffic in the Boston area can be heavy.
AirBnB
We highly recommend AirBnB for economical accomodations in the Boston area.
If you have not used AirBnB before, it’s a home sharing network where you can rent anything from an entire home/apartment to a place to pitch your tent/sleeping bag and everything in between. You can book nice single rooms with shared or private bath in the Cambridge area for anywhere from $70 to $125 per night (or more!). Again these tend to sell out very quickly in the summer months so book early.

Transportation Suggestions
Air & Train Travel
Boston Logan is the closest airport and there is public transportation via the MBTA system from the airport.
Sometimes fares are cheaper if you fly into Providence RI, Worcester MA, Hartford CT, or Manchester NH.
From New York or Washington there is excellent train service via Amtrak. Sometimes overseas air fares are cheaper into New York or Washington where several airlines maintain hubs.
